Woman who kept in flights to Paris condemned to the time served, year of supervised liberation

Svetlana Dali – The woman declared guilty of keeping a Delta flight from New York to Paris last year, she was sentenced on Thursday on time with one year of supervised release after she told the judge that she slipped on the plane because the US army had poisoned her.

“My actions were directed towards a single purpose: saving my life,” Dali said through a Russian interpreter before prayer was transmitted.

Dali, a Russian citizen and permanent resident of the United States who recently lived in Philadelphia, blamed his attempts to save on a outgoing flight of “circumstances beyond my control”, claiming in a labyrinthine statement that lasted more than half an hour than the US army submitted it to poisonous chemicals.

“I was forced to escape from the United States because I was poisoned,” Dali said. “I can draw a conclusion that these military chemicals poison me in the United States.”

Dali has already been in jail for the last seven months, which federal prosecutors said it was enough since their range of sentence guidelines was zero to six months in prison.

“Stowaway Travel is a serious crime that endangers both the offender and other aerial passengers. Dysmuase is particularly important in Stowaway cases, since publicized incidents foster the behavior of imitators who threatens the safety of air trips and undermine Defense

Judge Ann Donnelly admitted that Dali has had a “difficult life”, but imposed a sentence of time fulfilled, pointing out the need for deterrence.

“When someone goes up to a plane without a seat, without a ticket, it is a danger,” Donnelly said. “It is possible that other people try to do the same and that is a situation that our society cannot tolerate.”

On the objection of the defense, Donnelly also included a year of supervised release. She insisted that she was not destined to be punitive, but to help Dali receive treatment for mental illnesses.

“I hope you work with all the people trying to help you,” Donnelly said.

A Juraklyn jury condemned Dali for a federal position by Stowaway in May.

Dali sneaked into Delta 264 during the night, traveling from the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City to Paris Airport of Charles de Gaulle in France on November 26, 2024, without having a ticket and deliberately passed by multiple shipping control points and identification identification.

In a video obtained by ABC News, Dali can be seen walking to the B38 door at terminal 4, while other passengers have their shipping passes and verified passports for the Paris flight. After attendees at the door helped a separate group of customers and took them to the plane bridge, Dali followed him immediately, shows the video.

Once on board, he went directly to one of the plane’s bathrooms and hid there with his suitcases for several hours to avoid detection, prosecutors said. When a hostess realized, Dali pretended to vomit to excuse his long time in the bathroom.

After a hostess requested his name and shipping pass, Dali gave two false names and could not produce any passing pass or identification, prosecutors said. To the alarm, the flight attendant told Dali to sit in a seat reserved for flight crew when the plane arrived to land.

Dali was transferred back to the United States on December 4, 2024. The authorities had tried to fly it before, but could not be transported twice due to their disruptive behavior, prosecutors said.

During an interview of the two -hour law, Dali admitted to having flown as a stagnation and intentionally evading the security officials of the airport and Delta’s employees so that she could travel without buying a ticket.

After being released from custody in early December 2024, Dali allegedly cut off the ankle monitor and traveled to Buffalo, where he tried unsuccessfully to cross the peace bridge in Canada on a bus on December 16, 2024. She has been in custody since then.

Prosecutors believe that Dali tried to fly like a petjo on two previous occasions.

Two days before slipping on Delta’s flight in New York, Dali sneaked into a safe area at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut. Once inside the terminal, he hid inside a bath for a long period to avoid detection. He also seemed to try to access a Jet Blue flight when entering the boarding line, but the door agents rejected.

In February 2024, Customs and Border Protection agents discovered Dali hidden in a bathroom inside a safe area of Miami International Airport. She said she had reached an Air France flight and was waiting for her husband, but CBP did not find her records on any Air France flight that day.

Dali, who declared himself innocent, took the position of the witnesses during his trial. He admitted that he did not have a boarding pass when he walked towards the flight.

Instead, Dali said he walked to “where people were boarding the flights and then entered the plane.”

Despite the sentence of time fulfilled, Dali will not be immediately free of custody.

The Connecticut State Police said there is an active case against him for the incident at Bradley International Airport.
