A suspect was arrested in relation to a double homicide in an Arkansas park, after a married couple was found dead on a walking path during the weekend, authorities said.

James Andrew McGann, 28, from Springdale, Arkansas, was arrested on Wednesday and accused of two capital murder positions in the murders of Clinton David Brink, 43, and his wife, Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, announced Wednesday night.

The Brinks were “fatally attacked” as they went on an excursion with their two daughters in the state park Devil’s Den on July 26, police said. The children, 7 and 9, were not damaged in the incident.

McGann was arrested shortly before 5 pm local time in a business in Springdale, about 30 miles north of the park, state police said. At a press conference on Wednesday night, an official said the McGann business was arrested was a living room.

The official said that McGann had recently moved to the area from Oklahoma and had been hired to work in a local school.

When asked about a reason, the researchers declined to comment, saying that the case is still active and that it would be premature to do it.

“Our entire state is afflicted by the tragic loss and the crime without meaning and horrible that takes place,” said Arkansas governor, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, added: “One of the worst experiences that I have certainly had was to make a phone call to the Brink family earlier this week. Nothing as that should have taken place.”

The police said that the suspect was seen leaving the park area in a four -door black sedan, possibly a Mazda, with a film covered, the police said.

The Arkansas State Police had published a compound sketch and a photo from behind a man who was seen in the Devil’s State Park on Saturday, the day of the murders. The police requested the public’s help to identify the man, whom they said he was sought to interrogate in relation to the double homicide.
