The Republicans of the House of Representatives have worked during the night to move a Megabill that advances the legislative agenda of President Donald Trump through a key committee, with the aim of overcoming the division at the conference and advancing the package to a vote on the floor of the House of Representatives as soon as Wednesday.
The hearing of the Rules Committee of the Rules Chamber is strengthened after it began at 1 am et on Wednesday with the presidents of the Committee and the classification members who discuss the details of more than 1,000 pages “a great law of the bill”, which has changes in Medicaid, state and local tax deductions, rapid food assistance, immigration policy and more.
The Republican Party is far from unifying around the bill with various conflict points between the Republican hard funds mainly with respect to Medicaid’s work requirements and a limit of state and local tax deductions. Trump spoke with the Republicans in Capitol Hill on Tuesday in an effort to persuade them to support their signature bill, at a time threatening to primar those who vote against.

The president of Freedom Caucus, Andy Harris, one of the holdouts, said that “there is no way” that Bill Big Beutify “passes in the Chamber on Wednesday, despite the objective of President Mike Johnson to put the bill on the floor as soon as Wednesday after the rules committee cleared. Johnson is still working to ensure the votes of the more than a dozen Republicans who seek additional changes in the legislation. Without changes, there is enough opposition to defeat it, since Johnson can only afford to lose three votes.
“We are further from an agreement,” Harris said in Newsmax on Wednesday morning. “This bill actually got worse during the night. There is no way to happen today.”
The key components of the legislation will arise in the Rules Committee on Wednesday morning, which will focus on tax provisions, the review of SNAP and Medicaid cuts. However, the republican party leaders have not yet published the expected changes, negotiated by hard and moderate lines, to the tax and budgets invoice.

The representative of the president of the Rules Committee, Virginia Foxx, emphasized that Republicans must advance their bill to “guarantee our economic survival.” He added that republican changes to the package will be presented at some point during the audience.
Meanwhile, the representative Jim McGovern, the main democrat in the rules committee, criticized the draft law of reconciliation of the Republicans.
“I have a simple question. What the hell are so afraid of the Republicans? What the hell are so afraid that you are celebrating this audition at 1 in the morning? It is a simple question that speaks to the heart of what is happening here, and one that I will continue asking, if the Republicans are so proud of what is in this bill, then, why are you trying to cry at night?” McGovern said.
During the night, several Republican members left when the Democrats burned midnight oil, introducing several amendments to the package.
The Bennie Thompson classification member of National Security expressed his frustration with the process during the night.
“I described the national safety part of this bill as a lamp pencil on a pig. I come from an agricultural district, as well as a part of the country. So let me use another agricultural analogy to conclude: we can be here in the middle of night, but you don’t need daylight to smell. High Heaven.”

During the night, several presidents of the committee and classification members testified to the powerful panel, including armed services, budget, supervision, natural resources, financial services, judicial, national security, transport, forms and media, energy and commerce, agriculture and education.
