Police identified the man who entered a building in the office of Centro de Manhattan with body armor and opened fire killing four people with a high -power rifle, such as Shane Devon Tamura.

The 27 -year -old recently lived in Las Vegas, where the Las Vegas Police Department issued a hidden firearms permit. Previously, a work card was issued by the Nevada Private Researchers Licensing Board, which has since expired, according to the records reviewed by ABC News. His last known direction was in a closed community in Las Vegas.

He completed high school in the Los Angeles area, where he was a competitive soccer player, according to an school official who spoke with ABC News. Caleb Clarke, a former tamura classmate in Santa Clarita High School, described him as a “fool” and did not remember that he had any mental health problems. Tamura played as a runner with Granada Hills Charter for a part of her career in high school.

The New York Police Commissioner, Jessica Tisch, said that Tamura had a “documented mental health history.” Recently he led from Las Vegas to New York, and the officers found additional ammunition, a revolver, a backpack and medications inside his vehicle.

The initial investigation shows that his vehicle traveled through Colorado on July 26, then Nebraska and Iowa on July 27, and then in Columbia, New Jersey, recently like 4:24 pm on Monday, with his vehicle entering New York City shortly after, Tisch said.

A police officer and a civilian were shot in the center of Manhattan on Monday by a suspect who fled to an offices building, police sources told ABC News.

After entering 345 Park Ave. and “Sprinkle it with shots,” the elevator took the offices of the Rudin Management Real Estate Management firm on the 33rd floor, where he shot and killed an additional person. Tamura was found dead so it is believed to be a self -inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said.

ABC News has communicated with Rudin Management to comment. The police have not identified why it went to that floor or if it has any connection with the company.

“His motives are still under investigation, and we are working to understand why he went to this particular location,” Tisch said.
